Fanuc
Brand description
Since the company's establishment in 1956, when its founder Dr. Seiuemon Inaba conducted pioneering work on the concept of digital control elements (numerical control, NC), FANUC has remained at the forefront of the world's producers of revolutionary solutions in the field of industrial robotics. The company's offering continuously evolved — from machining single components to entire production lines at the end of the 1950s. It was then that Dr. Inaba initiated work on a groundbreaking project: he designed the world's first motor operating on the principle of an electric pulse, programmed digital control elements for it and placed these components in a machine tool. Striving to push the boundaries of automation to increase productivity, improve products and reduce costs, Dr. Inaba's team developed a robot implementing principles of machine tool loading operations. Thanks to the unrivaled industrial robots ROBOCUT, ROBODRILL and ROBOSHOT, FANUC was able to offer optimized solutions for an ever-expanding range of industrial applications. Furthermore, FANUC was the first to build and launch an automated production plant in Japan equipped with numerically controlled machine tools and robots. After 60 years since its founding, with over 2.4 million CNC controllers sold and 400,000 robots installed worldwide, FANUC is a leading global manufacturer of production automation solutions.
