Telemecanique has been pursuing an innovation policy since the beginning of its existence. It currently sets the global benchmark for devices used in automation. In 2004, the company celebrated its 80th anniversary. 1924: Michel le Goullec becomes the owner of the company «Manufacture d’Appareillage Electrique», in 1928 the company adopted the name «Télémécanique Electrique». The history of Telemecanique has always been associated with implementing inventions, starting with the development and introduction to sales of a new contactor. The patent was registered in 1924 - the same year as the company's acquisition. The company then significantly expanded its activities and found itself at the forefront of companies producing devices for automation. In particular, it developed D contactors, which became a model and reference point for users and manufacturers worldwide. The Schneider Electric Group acquired Telemecanique in 1988. After joining the Group, the brand continued to develop by developing the Osiris series of photoelectric cells and integrating internet technologies and proposing the first network server for its robots. In 2001, QuickFit connection technology was developed, allowing connections to be made without tools or cables.
